i hate lady gaga for so many reasons.
but i think her whole “jo calderone” thing is the worst one.
she uses people’s actual identities as this entertaining costume to gain more attention for herself. if she actually gave a shit about trans* people or even the queer community in general, she wouldn’t write shitty fucking songs like “born this way” and she wouldn’t say “oh, here we go again” when someone asks her a question criticizing the way she addresses the queer community.
if she actually gave a shit about trans* people you would hear her talking about them, not just dressing up. it’s all fucking theatrical, this is the same thing as when she used a wheelchair onstage. this is the same thing as when, during a photo shoot that was “asian inspired”, she squinted her eyes in every single picture. it’s the same shit. she’s a fucking commodity and this is the cheapest possible way to make oppressed minorities feel like “oh, she cares!”
she doesn’t.
not to mention that using tape to bind is a terrible idea and it’s bad for you.

A+

rebloggin’ my own self because i’ve seen this gif about 2,000 times on my dashboard today, all with the caption “UNF SO HOTTTTTTT”, etc.

yeah. just gonna leave this here because truth.

just… this whole thing.

okay so… i had a lot of respect for Gaga but apparently, i was just grossly misinformed so a huge, massive thank you for this.
respect = no more.

Okay, FIRST OF ALL.. Jo Calderone has nothing to do with being trans. It is based on a psychological theory by Carl Jung that people have both a female and male alter-ego.
Carl Jung believed that we each have within us both male and female qualitites, which together comprise the totality of who we are. The animus is the archetype in a woman that represents her male alter ego.
Do your research before you sound like an idiot. Yeah, she is an entertainer so she takes it to extremes, but there is a motive behind everything she does. If you actually devoted enough attention to her speech at the MTV awards, you would notice how deep her speech truly was. But you are all to busy negatively running your mouth to notice.
I don’t understand how someone can have so much “hatred” for someone who has done for the gay community. It’s like biting the hand that feeds you. For the person who said they haven’t seen what she has done for the gay community, are you kidding me? What about all the suicides she has prevented? Or the self-esteem she has instilled in so many of us? Or the strength to come out, and be ourselves? That is aside from all of her political movements.
She urged her fans to call their senators in order to take action against Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Her “meat dress” which is so heavily criticized, was her way of showing that DEAD MEAT is DEAD MEAT. Those who serve our country and give their life for us, are worthy of their rights regardless of their sexual orientation. She also showed up that day with members of the LGBT community who have been discharged for their sexual orientation. This was all done to make a statement. And she played a huge role in the how much attention was brought to it.
Or how about when she released her Born This Way album, and she made a deal with Target that allowed them to sell it as long as they stopped donating money to anti-gay organizations?
Or how she’s been fighting so hard to make bullying illegal. How many celebrities do you know will meet with the president of the United States in order to put a stop to something that has become an epidemic in our country? To protect the well-being of kids everywhere, as well as her fans?
So don’t bash someone you know nothing about. DO NOT say she has done nothing for me, because she has done more than anyone ever has or will.

Abortion/Drug Clinic Theory

Oh, Right, because everyone goes to a womens clinic and gets a surgical procedure done when they have a drug overdoes. *rolls eyes*

She said herself it was the worst day of her life because it BEGAN with her being in the hospital and continued with being dropped.

She’s at a womens clinic, her nurse/dr delivered her so shes a gynecologist, she wakes up from a surgical procedure that “went well”, she feels a sense of loss, she’s told she cant have sex for two weeks…

I understand people think its a mental ward. But she calls it a “womens clinic” She never says it was a mental or psych ward. By the way, they don’t do surgical procedures in mental wards. I think the depiction of insanity just shows what she thinks is the state of mentality women in that position are left with.

= abortion / miscarriage. Whatever it was. Its clear. Unless you’re really that clueless.

She goes home, gets the call, drug binge ensues.
